JONRO is a Solicitors Practice and Regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority but specialising in Employment Law in England and Wales. This includes advising Employers and Employees on the settlement of Compromise Agreements.

Under section 203 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, an employee waives his right to make any future claim against the employer but by law this requires the signature of a solicitor.

Advice is usually paid by the Employer and averages between £250 - £500 plus VAT depending on the complexity of the terms and circumstances of the employment coming to an end.

Often, the settlement will be more beneficial to the outgoing employee because the company does not want to risk the expense and risk of litigation.

With compromise agreements we actually advise both employers and employees but our role is different in each case.
